Every second Friday of the month October through April (except March), the DWNTWN Concert Series offers a FREE concert at Bayfront Park and everyone is welcome to attend. This Friday’s concert features three bands from Miami ArtOfficial, Jahfé and Afro Kumbé. The concert starts at 6pm so get there early to grab a good spot. Food Trucks will be on site but guests are welcome to bring their own food, drinks and blankets.
ArtOfficial is the best combination of Jazz and Hip-Hop you will ever hear. The band consists of vocalists Newsense and Logics, Danny Perez on keys, Ralf Valencia on bass and Keit Cooper on the saxophone. They released their first EP “Stranger” back in 2008 and they’ve been playing every single venue in Miami ever since. Check out their songs Migraine and Vitamins & Minerals.
Afro Kumbé blends traditional Colombian sounds with electronica. The band is Grammy nominated Locos Por Juana’s side project so expect the same vibe and songs that will make you get up and dance. Click here to see a video of the band performing at The Stage.
Jahfé‘s musical style fuses roots reggae with rock, dub, soul and R&B. The band consists of members from around the world including Haiti, Spain, Israel, Cuba, Czech Republic and the United States. Check out their songs Faith, Zion and Drop it (Good Times).
