Monday, January 2- The Miami Parking Authority Gives a Free Hour on Expired Meters. From December 20- January 2, the Miami Parking Authority is giving people one free hour on expired meters. So you can take your time going back to your car and you won’t have a ticket waiting for you in your windshield.

Tuesday, January 3- Recycle your Christmas Tree. Don’t just throw away your Christmas tree, recycle it! Miami residents can schedule curbside collection or drop it off at Trash and Recycling Collection Centers. You can call 305-594-1500 or head over to 1830 N.W 79 Street, open seven days a week from 7am to 5:30pm.

Wednesday, January 4- B.B. King Live. The king of the Blues is coming to the Adrienne Arsht Center for a must-see performance. The show starts at 8pm and tickets range from $49-$99. They are almost sold out so click here to buy yours. 1300 Biscayne Boulevard. 305-949-6722.

Thursday, January 5- The InterContinental Miami Holiday Ice Rink.The warm weather won’t stop Miamians from ice skating this holiday season. For $20/hour for adults and $10/hour for children under 18, you can ice skate in Downtown Miami. The full size ice rink will be South Florida’s only hotel ice skating venue. Friday, January 6- Laser Fest Weekend at MiaSci. Free Planetarium Star Show at 7:30pm followed by a laser show starting at 8pm with music by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Beastie Boys and Bob Marley. Friday, January 6- Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey: Fully Charged. A circus show for the entire family at the American Airlines Arena. Show start at 7pm and tickets range from $10-$115 on Ticketmaster. 601 Biscayne Boulevard.

Friday, January 6- Lenny Kravitz Tickets Go On Sale. Lenny Kravitz will be performing at The Fillmore on Saturday, February 25. Tickets range from $49.50- $65 and they will go on sale at 10am. Check The Fillmore’s website for tickets and details.

Saturday, January 7- Suma Flamenco Miami Gala. A production that incorporates live music, created and arranged by local and international guest guitarists, composers, singers, dancers and choreographers. The show will take place at Carnival Studio Theater at the Arsht Center at 8pm. Tickets are $50 and you can buy yours here.

Sunday, January 8- Patti Smith at Books & Books-Coral Gables. The Godmother of Punk will meet and greet, and sign copies of her memoir Woolgathering as well as Just Kids, at Books & Books- Coral Gables at 4pm. Sunday, January 8- Family Style Sundays at The Stage. Head over to The Stage for laid back fun for the entire family that includes kids activities, face painting, food trucks, vendors, full bar, and The Motivational Edge will teach kids how to DJ.
