During Riesling Week, restaurants and retailers in Miami will celebrate Rieslings from Germany, Austria and Alsace as the perfect complement to summertime cuisines. Timed during the heat of summer, this is a great chance to sample the versatility of the grape and experience why Riesling is consistently named as a “top summer varietal.”
From July 26- August 1, restaurants will offer European Riesling specials, including by-the-glass selections, discounted bottles, and food-pairing menus. Wine retailers will also host European Riesling tastings throughout the week. They have a great lineup of 15 Miami participants this year, including:
Mandarin Oriental’s AZUL and cafe sambal- Offering at least 3 European Rieslings by the glass
Emeril’s Miami Beach- Offering three European Rieslings by the glass, discounted bottles of European Riesling, and a flight of European Rieslings
W Wine Bistro- Offering at least 3 European Rieslings by the glass, discounted bottles of European Riesling, and a flight of European Rieslings
Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink- Offering German, Austrian and Alsatian Rieslings by the glass, and offering them as a tasting flight
Michy’s- The chef’s tasting menu will feature 2 Rieslings and they are offering 3 European Rieslings by the glass
Sunset Corners Fine Wine & Spirit- European Riesling Tasting Saturday, July 31st from 12-4 pm
W Wine Boutique- European Riesling Tasting Friday, july 30th from 7-9 pm
