The most anticipated moment for soccer fans is finally here!! After waiting for four years, the FIFA World Cup is back and this time it’s taking place in South Africa. Months of preparation, tons of friendly games, PANINI albums completed, and this Friday the excitement begins. It all kicks off with a game between South Africa vs. Mexico and Uruguay vs. France.
The World Cup is an entire intense month long and during that time, Miami bars and restaurants will be filled with soccer fans cheering for their country or favorite team. But where exactly can you watch these games?
Count on The Clevelander for a great party on Ocean Drive with your favorite drinks, food and people from all over the world. 1020 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.
Abraxas Lounge in South Beach has a very wide selection of beers and wines. Great bar to hang out with friends and of course, watch your favorite games. 407 Meridian Ave, Miami Beach. 305-534-9005
Mercadito in Midtown will be broadcasting the shows and offering a great deal. $25 for all-you-can-eat tacos during the matches, the only way to receive this deal is if everyone on the table does it, but it’s worth it so we doubt you wouldn’t want to. Great food and soccer games, can’t beat that! 3252 Northeast 1st Avenue www.mercaditorestaurants.com
Segafredo Brickell. If you are in Brickell, you definitely want to watch the Cup in Segafredo, Novecento or the Irish Pub next to it. They will have a special menu with the traditional foods of the participating countries. 1421 South Miami Ave. 305-577-9809.
Mia at Biscayne will open early, or extremely early (7:30 am) during the week. They will offer brunch and a $14.95 executive lunch for those games that are not so early. 20 Biscayne Blvd, 305-642-0032.
Sushi Samba is a great destination for Brazilians (and everyone who likes their food) because they will serve a special menu every time Brazil plays, so even if you’re not into soccer you can enjoy the delicious food.
Panizzza is also showing all the games for those who are looking to eat Argentine pastries. 1229 Lincoln Road, 305-695-8800.
And finally, you can always count on your friends to make a nice bbq and enjoy the games at a house, and if you are on the road and can’t turn on the TV, tune in ACTUALIDAD 1020 AM for the live coverage.

Thank you for the truly amazing posting. With the world cup coming about your are beginning to come across significantly better posts on sports around the globe. Keep it up please. The internet needs it.
Watched the match between England and USA. Another tie. What a bummer LoL. Wondering about the next matches results.
I do tend to go for the underdogs in sport….but man Argentina just appear like they are going to reign over the world cup….Messi is just absolutly Amazing….And there is not a doubt in my mind that he is the best player in the world….
Still can’t believe Spain won the World Cup this year. They seemed to do just enough to get by each game. Congrats to them though, but they weren’t all that exciting to watch.
